Some members of the Phillippine government are angry that the US might take retaliation on their decision to give in to Islamic fascists in Iraq.
The other day, a US official was reported by the Associated Press as saying Washington was reevaluating ties with the Philippines. The official did not specifically say Washington could scale down military or economic assistance.But Party-List Rep. Satur Ocampo of Bayan Muna immediately accused United States President George Bush of “holding hostage” the country’s ties with his country by using veiled threats to scare the Philippine government for pulling out its troops from Iraq.
Well too bad.
It is obvious that some influential people in the Phillipines do not understand what they have done.
To the Phillipines: It is not about pulling your troops out of Iraq; they were going to leave next month anyway.
But it is all about giving in to the Islamic-fascists who now have another win in their column. Such a "win" makes it more dangerous for everyone who is in Iraq. Fine, you pulled your people out and protected your sorry asses. But what about people who stay? The danger to them has now increased.
But you don't care because cowards never care about others.
But what I'm wondering is this: Why do you care about the US's retaliation. Why do you care about ties to the US at all? What, with rhetoric like:
“The US arrogance had always been there. The issue right now is, how far can GMA stand up to US pressure?”
What US pressure? You found it quite easy to submit to the pressure of terrorists and the US has not taken even one of your people and held them for ransom or threatened to cut off their heads.
Besides, if you think the US is arrogant, why would you possibly want to do business with us?
“Freedom-loving Filipinos hope that the President will stand firm and will not yield to the other US demands on the country just to soothe Emperor Bush’s brushed ego.”
How about we just leave each other alone? You forget about the arrogant US and Emperor Bush and we'll just forget your country even exists. How about that?
Freedom loving Filipinos? You're joking right? Or is it just freedom for Filipinos and everyone else can go to hell?
Oh, and about that $1 million ransom:
He declined to comment on rumors government had paid the kidnappers of de la Cruz $1 million in addition to the pullout.
Did you know that head Iraqi fascist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi has put a bounty on the head of Iraqi PM Allawi? Did he get that money from the Phillipine government?
If this terrorist scum put a bounty on President Arroyo’s head we know what your government would do:
