A Muslim Marine and three Muslim Turks are in the hands of Islamic fascists. They are being held prisoner.
And the death sentence has been imposed upon them by their captors.
The Marine's father is Lebanese.
"We are trying to send word through all channels that he is Lebanese, Arab and a Muslim," Abdullah Hassoun, a member of the extended family and head of Al-Safira municipality, told the AP."He must be released by his kidnappers," he said
The problem is, he is not Muslim enough to satisfy his captors. If he was, the fascists would be prohibited from murdering him according to the Quoran. Of course the Quoran also forbids the murder of Christains and Jews too.
Pakistanis reacted with outrage and grief Monday over Hafeez's kidnapping with some blaming their government for siding with the United States in the war on terrorism and many expressing disbelief that guerrillas would target fellow Muslims.
Do not be surprised; they are not Muslim enough.
And neither is anyone in Pakistan who loves freedom and the 20th Century. Who thinks cars are OK and music.
And laughter.
In fact so few people are Muslim enough, that it is not just the West that should fear these blood thirsty Fascists.
Muslims themselves should fear them.
But Muslims, it seems, do not fear them enough.
