Spent a beautiful day out at the Discover Jazz Festival. You can see the photos of my walkabout here.
The 40th Army Band put on a crowd pleasing show. They did lots of audience friendly Jazz that included large helpings of Swing and Dixieland.
And to prove that Jazz ain't just for the old farts, the 4 piece crew who call themselves "The Monk" worked through some very challenging pieces as though they were pros three times their age (which couldn't have been more than 22).
Very impressive performance.
