Baby Killers

So some US soldiers were giving candy to children today in Iraq. The children were crowded around the Hummer collecting their treats. A suicide bomber on his way to heaven spotted the soldiers, and the children. Did he drive away and look for some harder target?

Hell no.

A suicide car bomber sped to American soldiers as they distributed sweets to children and detonated his vehicle today, killing up to 27 other people, US and Iraqi officials said.

One US soldier and about a dozen children were among the dead.

We hear the outrage about London. About Madrid. About New York.

But where is the outrage here? Will the editorial pages be filled with condemnation for this atrocity tomorrow?

And who among you want to leave the people of Iraq to these sub-human animals?

Forget the prospect of a large group of these killers hijacking the oil wealth of this nation and turning their diseased minds and money towards their diseased purposes.

How could you, we here in the US, turn our backs on these people and leave them to the monsters?

Like was done when Saddam was in charge...

When has ANSWER ever organized a march in protest of the murders these Jihadists perpetrate? Or United for Peace and Justice?

Tell me. When?

Before or after Saddam.

Before or after the Taliban.

Tell me. When?

UPDATE: Iraqi's march against terror.

Iraqmarchagainstterror

Neither ANSWER nor United for Peace and Justice were involved.

Counting the dead

Well I've decided to stop whining about the fact that I can find no news reports that count the number of dead due to Islamo-fascist terrorist attacks and just do it myself.

So in addition to being the blog that routinely recounts the good stuff our military forces are doing to help the people of Iraq and Afghanistan, I'll also be the blog that keeps the unofficial running count of innocents killed by Islamo-fascists.

By my count, up until the incident in Beslan, Russia there were 748 people killed by Islamicists in 2004. (you can find my backup data in the extended section of this post)

By the most recent count I have, 340 people were killed in Beslan.

Add to this the 8 dead in Indonesia today (and that number may climb as there were 160 injured) the gand total so far this year is 1,096 in this year alone! And that adds up to 23,091 people since 1998 when you include the data supplied by the State Department I summarized here

What's more; I don't think I have counted everyone. So if you have an incident I haven't included, please let me know and I will update this number. I will also update this number as new attacks occur.

Maybe some news outlet will find this number here and run it as a headline everytime a terrorist incident occurs.

Ya think?

Neither do I.

State supporters of Islamic Fascists

Iraq to publish evidence that insurgents get aid

The New Iraqi interim government would publish evidence this week that some neighboring countries have provided help to anti-occupation insurgents, an Iraqi official was quoted by the British Sunday Telegraph newspaper as saying on Sunday.

The Iraqi interim government had gathered intelligence that some neighboring government agencies have provided financial support, logistical assistance and training to insurgent groups, Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari said in an interview with the London-based newspaper. However, he did not name the countries.

"Since we started to look at the security situation, we have seen how foreign governments have been helping terrorists," Zebari told the paper.

"Why they are doing it we can not say, but we know where the support is coming from. We have plans to put this before the public within days and it will have substantial impact," Zebari added.

"Foreign support for terrorists is ongoing, very risky and very dangerous...But it will backfire on those governments. A stable and peaceful Iraq is a better neighbor for them," Zebari stressed.

Baghdad believed that up to 10,000 foreign spies and undercover agents had infiltrated the country since the US-led war against Iraq began last March.

Zebari also said it was important for the new government to prove that it was in the "driving seat" in defending Iraqi security, despite the probable diplomatic fallout from such a step.

Zebari even indicated in the interview that Iraq might not oppose attacks by American troops based in Iraq on neighboring states if they were backing the insurgents. Enditem

Who will the state supporters of Islamic fascists attempting to undermine the new government in Iraq turn out to be?

He was a Muslim, but he was also and American

Islamic fascists claim to have beheaded Marine Corporal Wassef Ali Hassoun.

The movie will follow.

Muslims, Europeans, Americans, whatever: if you do not support fascism, you are vulnerable.

There are no lines the enemy will not cross.

There are no civilians.

Kneel to them or you are a target. (You may be a target anyway)

Get with the program, or get with the enemy.

More chemical warheads found

Nerve agent warheads found

02/07/2004 - 08:02:33

Polish troops have found two warheads in Iraq believed to contain a deadly nerve agent, though it is not clear what period the weapons come from.

The two warheads were found early last month in a bunker in the area controlled by Polish forces, and tested positive for cyclosarin – a substance many times stronger than sarin, the Polish defence ministry said in a statement last night.

“There is no doubt that the warheads contain chemical weapons,” defence minister Jerzy Szmajdzinski said.

Imagine that.

To behead or not to behead, the debate rages

The AP reports that whether or not a good Islamic fascist can morally behead a Muslim is a topic of some debate:

Debate raged on Islamic Web sites about the propriety of killing fellow Muslims who work for coalition forces in Iraq, after militants released three Turkish hostages they had threatened to behead.

AP reports that most of the fascists are of the "behead 'em all, let Allah sort it out" ilk.

Most people who post messages on several Islamic Web sites known for their extremist bent believe those are justified.

Some are more forgiving

Some people appealed on the kidnappers to spare the Turks because they were "fellow Muslims." Others urged militants to decapitate them.

Then again...

"Turkish Muslims should be the first to demand that those hypocrites be beheaded, as they are allied with the devil," meaning the Americans, one person wrote on a Web site that has published al-Zarqawi statements and claims of responsibility for other killings. "They should serve as an example to every apostate."

Another contributor who identified himself as "enemy of the foreign infidels" said he supported the decapitation of hostages - but not Muslim ones.

"Slaughtering is something you started with the infidel Crusaders and their allies, and we hope you won't deviate from that path," he wrote. But "they're Muslims, so don't kill them ... as long as they didn't cause direct harm."

..."There is a lot of confusion concerning this beheading issue, and more so in the case of beheadings of Muslims," said Dia'a Rashwan, a Cairo expert on Islamic militants.

There's a lot of confusion all right.

But let me clear things up for you: beheading innocents and POWs is against the Geneva Conventions.

Not convincing enough for ya?

How about it's just plain wrong.

Doing the "impossible"

NewsMax.com reports:

9/11 Commission: U.S. Terror War has Stymied al Qaida

The Sept. 11 Commission has found that the Bush administration's war on terror has severely impaired al Qaida's ability to organize another spectacular attack against the U.S. homeland by capturing or killing the deadly terror group's key leaders, drying up their financial resources and severely limiting their ability to "strategize, plan attacks, and dispatch operatives worldwide."

The bombshell finding, buried at the end of the Commission's Staff Statement No. 15, should have been hailed in the press as evidence that we've at least turned the corner in the war on terror - and may indeed have the enemy on the run. Instead, reporters have ignored this particular Commission finding since its release on June 16.

High Value Targets

Afghanistan: 2 Taliban Leaders Caught

Special forces from the American-led coalition captured two high-level Taliban commanders in weekend operations in the south, a military statement said. The two, Abdul Hafiz Majid, the former police chief of Kandahar, the spiritual home of the Taliban movement, and Mohammad Daoud, a commander from the province, were captured in raids on two compounds. "We have evidence indicating that they were supplying arms to insurgents, conducting rocket attacks on the military, attacking nongovernmental aid organizations helping Afghanistan build a national infrastructure, funding ambushes and trafficking opium," the statement said. More evidence

The New Tork Times is reporting more evidence of al Qaeda-Iraq collaboration:

Contacts between Iraqi intelligence agents and Osama bin Laden when he was in Sudan in the mid-1990's were part of a broad effort by Baghdad to work with organizations opposing the Saudi ruling family, according to a newly disclosed document obtained by the Americans in Iraq.

You suppose someone should clue in Al Gore?

But then again, how could he not know.

A translation of the new Iraqi document was reviewed by a Pentagon working group in the spring, officials said. It included senior analysts from the military's Joint Staff, the Defense Intelligence Agency and a joint intelligence task force that specialized in counterterrorism issues, they said.

The task force concluded that the document "appeared authentic," and that it "corroborates and expands on previous reporting" about contacts between Iraqi intelligence and Mr. bin Laden in Sudan, according to the task force's analysis.

But wait!

The new document, which appears to have circulated only since April, was provided to The New York Times several weeks ago,

Is this the same New York Times that last week called for the White House to apologize for stating that there were ties between Saddam and al Qaeda (ties I have documented here and here)

The same New York Times that was in possession of this document when it made the call?

before the commission's report was released.

And fact checking the Grey Lady of Record, the commission has not released a report. A staff report was leaked. Staff notes who's conclusions were neither seen nor voted on by the commission. A commission who's co-chairs have stated that their commissions findings are not in disagreement with White House statements.

Perhaps neither Al Gore nor the New York Times got the memo.

New Iraq-al Qaeda links

There is a plethora of evidence, some of which is noted here, that al Qaeda and Iraq were at the very least cooperating with each other. The Washington Times today adds to the heap. What's more, the 9/11 commission knew about it.

A senior officer in Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein's security services was a member of the terrorist group that committed the September 11 attacks, a member of the commission investigating the suicide hijackings said yesterday.

"There is at least one officer of Saddam's Fedayeen, a lieutenant colonel, who was a very prominent member of al Qaeda," said September 11 commission member and former Navy Secretary John Lehman.
