New York Times grasps at straws and continues to be dishonest in its reporting. Is it so hard to just tell us the facts and let the reader decide? They claim they are feeling the "chilling effect" of bloggers looking over their shoulder. But what we see is no such thing. What we see is probably the most quoted newsource in the world blatantly pitching for a particular candidate in an important Presidential election. A news souce colluding with other "news" organizations (such as CBS) to unseat a sitting President. That's what we see. And if bloggers manage to tip the scale in some small way towards balance, then let the chilling begin. The bottom line? The stuff was removed before US troops got there. End of fucking story. Kerry should get his head out of the sand, admit he was wrong, and stop clinging to an attack that he knows is a lie. Like the lie regarding the disenfanchisement of blacks. Like the lie about the Presidents plan for a draft. Like the lie that Republicans want to privitize Medicare. If Americans select this man as their President next week, then we will deserve what we get for the next four years because if the man will lie today to gain political power what will he do to keep it?
